I have decided to study in Barcelona in the end of 2013, because I was not happy with my current job and I wanted to have an experience abroad as a student. I had visited Barcelona in 2011 as a tourist and I fell in love with the city at first sight.
When I arrived in Barcelona in March 2014, I was not sure about what kind of accommodation was better for me. I started searching university residencies, but at the same time, I wanted to have freedom, so I started to contact some real state agencies and I decided to share a flat with a friend who was also a Brazilian student! However, after a few months, we got to know Barcelona Student Housing and we decided to move: it was the best decision that we have made. We stayed at an university flat where we had the same services offered by some students´ residences, such as cleaning, maintenance, 24 hours phone service… but all of that on a flat to be shared with other students.
My experience in Barcelona took a year… It has been almost a month that I am back to Brazil and I already miss this fantastic city and all the experiences that I had there!
On the next Newsletters we are going to talk more about it and a bit about everything! Doubts regarding where to stay in Barcelona (renting a flat, sharing a room, staying at a student residence or other option), best places to eat in Barcelona, events on the city, soccer, basketball matches or other sports, what to do on your free time, how to maximize your experience in Barcelona, among other topics.
Take a look once in a while in our website! And if you have any idea or suggestion, do not hesitate to contact us!!!
See you!!! =)
Photo: The photo was taken at one of the last places that I have been in Barcelona: Bunker del Carmel. The view there is amazing and it is possible to see the entire city! It is worth it going there at least once! The best time to go there is at sunrise or sunset!
