Outdoor exercise in Barcelona

Barcelona is gradually returning to normality: shops open their doors, bar terraces are once again the meeting point for friends wanting to meet again. The students who have stayed in their student apartments in Barcelona regain their habits after these strange months. If one of your habits was to do sports in the gym, but it is now closed, or you simply prefer not to frequent closed places for the moment, we recommend you continue doing sports outdoors.

Barcelona has parks throughout the city and you can also go to the beach to run, do yoga or your usual exercise boards.

One of the parks preferred by Barcelona residents is undoubtedly the “Parc de la Ciutadella”, which is located in the center of Barcelona, ??next to the famous Borne neighborhood. For the students of our Sardenya Student Residence it is one of the best alternatives, as you can get closer by running.

One of the best-known parks in Barcelona is “Park Güell”. This month of July is a perfect option since it is usually a park very frequented by tourists so it is usually full. Now is the time to enjoy this fabulous park designed by Gaudí and play sports with spectacular views of the city.

Less known for its short life, but a very pleasant place to play sports is the Parc de Les Glòries, located on Avenida Diagonal, at the height of Plaça de las Glòries. It has a large lawn area ideal for practicing yoga. If you decide to run along the Diagonal towards the forum, you will also find the Parc Central del Poblenou, one of the lungs of Barcelona.

From there you can go down Bac de Roda to Mar Bella beach and run next to the sea until you reach Barceloneta beach.

If you prefer the mountains to the beach, the Montjuic and Tibidabo area in Barcelona is also very pleasant for physical exercise… Students who live in student residences or university apartments near these neighborhoods in Barcelona can take advantage of the free area to exercise.

Very close to the Barcelona Student Housing office is the “Turó Parc” which has a very large green area. It is an alternative to practice exercise for students who live in this area of ??Barcelona, ??such as the students staying at Travessera de Gracia 43

If you want more information about the parks and green areas of Barcelona, ??you can look at the website of the Barcelona city council.

Prepare your outfit and don't forget to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Good exercise! =)
