The answer is simple: at the parks in all over the city of Barcelona or even at the beach!!!
One of the most famous parks in Barcelona is the “Park Güell”… Although people, including students, have to pay now to enter at the most touristic part of the park, there is an area, relatively big, which is free! For those students who live near that zone and don´t care with the amount of tourists there, the “Park Güell” is the solution for those who want to exercise and don´t want to pay a sports club or other kinds of classes.
One of my favorites is the “Parc de la Ciutadella”, which is located at the region of the Old City in Barcelona! There are many young people running and walking there… For those students who live in our Student Residency Sardenya or for those who are living at our University Flat Ample this park is one of the best alternatives because is really near those dorms!!!
At Montjuic and Tibidabo regions in Barcelona, there is also many people exercising there… For those students who live at residence halls or university dorms near those neighborhoods in Barcelona they can enjoy those free areas to workout!
If you want more information about it, you can check out at the the website of the city hall of Barcelona!
Prepare your sportswear and do not forget to drink a lot of water to hydrate!!! Good luck! =)
Photo: I took this picture once when I was going back from Barcelona Student Housing office… this is really near there! This park is called “Turó Parc” and it has an incredible green area! That is an alternative to exercise for those students who live on that region of Barcelona!!!
