The Museum Night 2017
It will be take place this Saturday May 20 and there are many options: 6 different routes and more than 80 centers to visit free from 20 hours and until dawn. You can choose with your roommates the most interesting here you have the link to the page of the town hall: http://lameva.barcelona.cat/lanitdelsmuseus/es/. Or if you prefer, we have made our own selection with the proposals that we have liked the most:
In the Design Museum of Barcelona, in the Plaça de Les Glòries. There are many design students staying in our student flats, and we are sure that they will not miss the opportunity to visit the exhibition on product design "From the world to the museum. Product Design, Cultural Heritage "showing 240 pieces of national product design. Another exhibition that we love is "Tapas: spanish design for food", which will also like all our students of hospitality. In this exhibition you will know how aspects such as design, tradition, art and avant-garde have contributed to our eating habits.
The MACBA (Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona), located in the heart of the Raval, is one of the most important museums in Barcelona. It is part of the Route 4 of the night of the Museums, from the Raval to the Port, which runs through the Ciutat Vella de Barcelona. You can visit, among others, the MACBA 31 Exhibition, which puts together a journey with the common thread: experience, time and conflict. We hope you like it!
Lastly, do not miss the "World Press Photo 2017" at the CCCB (Center for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona). Barcelona is the first city to exhibit the winning reports of this edition. Surely you have in mind the winning photograph of this year. It is titled "A Murder in Turkey" by Burhan Ozbilici and captures the moment of the murder of the Russian ambassador in Turkey during an art exhibition. Shocking!
As we have said there are many more options and for all tastes. There is also good weather forecast on Saturday, so it seems like the best plan for this weekend in Barcelona.
We hope you enjoy this cultural weekend!
