We recommend you to refresh yourself and bring the heat of the month of August better, The beaches, not only those of Barcelona, but the beaches nearby that you can reach by train.
Of the 800 km of coast of Catalonia, here are our recommendations:
The beaches of the city are the most accessible when you live in a student apartment in the center of Barcelona. So if you do not have a lot of time, or you always want to spend the day in town, you can enjoy the urban beaches like La Barceloneta (the busiest) or La Mar Bella (something quieter). To any of them you can arrive in metro or better yet, in bicycle and thus you take advantage and you do a little of exercise.
Outside the city, but a few minutes by train you can visit the beaches of the Maresme. If you want to get to Sant Pol (little more than an hour's journey) we recommend Morer beach. And towards the north of Barcelona, a nice destination is Sitges, where you will find hidden bays where to practice nudism like the cove of the Home Mort, or the familiar beach of Sant Sebastià,
If you like long beaches for long walks along the shore, and the calm sea you will surely fall in love with the beaches of the province of Tarragona, south of Barcelona. Fine sand and unspoilt beaches such as Fangar Beach in the Ebro Delta, or Xelin beach in l'Ametlla de Mar, ideal for diving enthusiasts.
We change the fine sand and the long beaches by the famous coves of the Costa Brava. We assure you that it is one of the most beautiful landscapes you can see in Catalonia.
We recommend the Xelida cove in Tamariu, the cove Bona in Tossa de Mar or the cove Treumal in Blanes, in these small corners of the Costa Brava we can disconnect from the city and reconnect with nature.
The less traveled beaches join well-known shores such as Cadaqués, Roses, Empuries or the beaches of Sa Tuna and Aiguablava in Begur.
The sunset at Cap de Creus is a unique show not to be missed.
As you see, many and varied beach options for your summer days in Barcelona as a student.
Do not forget to put sun cream and enjoy the sun and the Mediterranean sea!
