If you look at a map of Barcelona you will see a regular grid area that covers the entire center of Barcelona, above Ciutat Vella, and from the Plaza de Les Glories to Plaza España. That is the Eixample, characteristic for its square apples with large interior patios, designed by the architect Cerdà.It is the place where you should definitely live if one of the things that has most fallen in love with Barcelona is its modernist architecture. The central axis is the Passeig de Gracia, where several of the most impressive buildings of the city are concentrated: the Casa Batlló and the Casa Milà are two of the most visited buildings by tourists from all over the world. This walk divides the Eixample into "Eixample izquierda" and "Eixample right" where the Sagrada Familia is located. Most of our university apartments are in the Eixample of Barcelona.
